The Apple Ipad was released today by CEO Steve Jobs. This is massive news in the tablet pc community and it is being reported everywhere so rather than regurgitating a bunch of stuff I am just going to surface some highlights of the coverage.

Interestingly enough a lot of the buzz on the internet isn’t about the device itself but instead people are focusing on the name of the device and making female hygiene product references. Iphone Savior has an entertaining read and some funny spoof videos. [Iphone Savior Post]
Not everyone has loved the release of the iPad. There are plenty of people who are pointing out its dowfalls (such as 3G not being standard, no dedicated GPS, iPhoneOS’s lack of multitasking, no camera, no USB and of course the “lame” name).
